OUR TEAM

Leah Werdelin

Executive Director

Leah Werdelin is the founder of Bright Path Achievement Center, dedicated to empowering children with disabilities through innovative therapy and education. Whether she’s working one-on-one with children or supporting her team in their ongoing professional development, Leah is deeply committed to the idea that every child has a bright path forward, and she’s proud to be a part of that journey. Outside of work, Leah enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors.

Christopher Collinsworth

Director of Educator Development

Chris Collinsworth is a full-time Special Education teacher, adjunct instructor at the University of North Florida, husband and dad. With 21 years of experience in education and disability services, he has worked with a wide range of students and teachers in both public and private schools, and is deeply passionate about what he does. Being an advocate for students, teachers, and parents is a core passion of his, and he is deeply committed to supporting all individuals in the education and developmental journey. When he is not teaching, he loves acting in local community theatre productions, reading, watching college football, volunteering, and trying (but failing) to train his spoiled Boston Terrier, Violet.

Emily Walker

Director of Family Support and Services

Emily Walker combines her background in Early Childhood Education with personal experience as a mother of a daughter with Down syndrome. She oversees all of our support groups, offering resources, guidance, and a safe space for families on their unique journeys. Emily leads The Extra Chromosome Connection, a support group dedicated to parents of children with Down syndrome, where she works to ensure every family feels supported, informed, and part of a community that understands their challenges and celebrates their triumphs. Outside of work, Emily enjoys [xyz] and values time with her family.

Isabella Estes

Wellness Program Coordinator

Isabella Estes leads mindfulness and wellness programs at Bright Path, supporting children with disabilities and their families. She offers community courses, parent support classes, and private sessions focused on stress reduction, meditation, and overall wellness. Passionate about empowering families, Isabella helps students and parents develop practical tools for managing stress, improving focus, and promoting emotional well-being. Outside of work, she enjoys [xyz] and values [xyz]. 

Amy Queen

Respite Care Provider

Amy Queen brings compassion and dedication to her role, drawing from years of hands-on experience supporting individuals with disabilities and personal insight as the mother of her son, Cayden, who is on the autism spectrum. She is First Aid and CPR certified, and is currently pursuing a degree in Human Services. Amy is passionate about providing compassionate, dependable respite care that supports both individuals with disabilities and their families. Outside of work and school, she enjoys taking Cayden to play sports, connecting with other special kiddos, and exploring nature through hikes and outdoor adventures.
